when you have your desktop showing (minimize all your windows) hit the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard.

Open up your start, then go to accessories, then to "paint". When that opens, you can hit ctrl + v, and that will paste your captured desktop image into paint. Save it as a .jpg file, then you can upload it to somewhere like photobucket and post the linked image.
