Today due to state testing (TAKS), we had to prep sack lunches. Now the teachers took count of how many students were going to be buying lunch vs how many were bringing their lunch.

About half of those who told the teachers they were BRINGING their lunch forgot and we ended up having to scramble around and make more lunches in time for the boogerheads to get to class to start their testing on time.

Quarterly, a bunch of 22 year old auditors show up. They verify that we verified that there's a whole lot of folders full of paper in those cabinets. They then tell upper management that everything is in order.
QUOTE]

I am one of those twenty something auditors who spent all day making check marks next to big lists of crap. Throw in a surly controller who is certain we are there to find his mistakes and get him fired, and mix it all up with having to spend all week cooped up in a conference room that tops out at 59 degrees. My week sucks. I hate auditing. I'm cold. I don't care if the controller made a mistake, and I'm not out to get him fired. GRR. (I work for a small cpa firm where we all have to audit as well as do our other work. Not my favorite thing)

It's wrong and petty of me, I know, but I don't think I like you. And I don't even know you! I'm sorry, I can't help myself. :)

I'm ashamed to say it, but that makes me feel a little better!

Very nice. I'm just doing my job. I got my degree, I got my CPA, and I'm spending the day making checkmarks. Not fun.

Co-worker-anyone know what at DRE is? I had to work Christmas week and I didn't see her all week, except for once, when she gave me her church bulletin article. My boss asked me on Friday if I saw our DRE and I told him only once all week. He proceeded to tell me"

"this is a very Holy Week for her and she takes the week very seriously".

WTH is that suppose to mean. She is on a 10 month contract, so she gets 2 months off in the summer.

Now the CCD classes have started up, she is having special meetings for parents for confession and 1st communion. She is running around with her head cut off because she has so much work. She broke pieces off the copy machine, I came in today and found burnt paper in the copy machine. She could have burnt my whole office down. She told me she started smelling a funny smell but didn't know what it was, so she stopped copying at 9:30 last nite.

Our boss walked in and saw the burnt paper and the pieces and the DRE told him what happened. He told me to call the Copy machine technician immediately. How dare that happen. WTH!

I found out a little while ago, our DRE was fired from her last 2 jobs. But our Priest thinks she "walks on water."

OK, vent over. Feel much better.
