I got called down to my Vice Priciples office for the 6th time this year today, for skipping my mod 14 study hall on Wednesday. I've explained to Mr. Moores that I only have study hall on MONDAY the Tuesday and Thursday I have gym, and Wednesday and Friday I have bio lab. He keeps telling Mrs. O'Brian that, and she keeps calling me absent, and being really snitty to me when I am there. He called her down to his office today to tell her that. I was mildly satisfied

I was a little mad this morning.

I park in an underground garage in my apartment building that has assigned spots. Well the person that parks next to me continually leaves garbage on the floor. It really bugs me - there is a dumpster only 10 feet away from the car. Why leave garbage on the ground? Especially in an assigned spot. We know it's yours!

The garage was just cleaned up a couple of days ago. Yet this morning I come down, and there is more garbage laying in their spot! I banged my head pretty good getting into the car because I was too busy glaring at the garbage. GRRrrrrrrr.

My stepdad not only came home from work early today but bought another wicked cheap toaster. This is to replace the one that takes 10 minutes (I timed it) to BARELY toast a piece of bread. This new one makes the whole house smell like something's burning

Did I mention how happy I am to be going back to school on Monday?

My vent? My landlord is selling our place we rent. Fine... But does it really mean that the jerks at The Car Dealership whom are purchasing this property to tear down and make their stupid dealership gigantic and more massive then it already is, can now park in the paved area behind the house - so they dont have to walk as far to their office??? NO IT DOES NOT!

Theyre ticking me off.

My big peeve at my new job is the mailroom being across the hall from the MORGUE! I work awfully hard at keeping thoughts of several family members that died AWAY!! Now twice a day I'm reminded of it, plus I have the anticipation of going to that *&Y&*%Y()# place in advance. They need to MOVE the mailroom! To an entirely different floor would be great.

Woke up yesterday to snow, went to brush it off my car and noticed i had a flat tire, then later got rear-ended. I'm fine, tire's fixed, no damage to the bumper, but geez!!!!! I would have posted this yesterday if my internet had been working at home yesterday!!!!

PS: Today's been a much better day so far!

Day 2 of bedrest and my couch is no longer comfortable to sit on. The bed is not comfortable to lay on and even my skin is irritating the crud out of me!

Phew! I feel better okay not really, but thanks for the rant.

DD was so slow this morning, she made me leave 10 minutes later than usual and I missed getting a parking spot at school. What's worse is, I have to go to school three hours early just to get a parking spot in the first place. So I ended up sitting around for three hours at Panera eating a whole day's calories in one enormous cinnamon roll (okay, so that's not a vent, that was comfort food ).

Sarbanes-Oxley. Our company used to be the most productive group of people you've ever seen. Now, people mostly sit around filling out forms, forwarding the forms to others who sign off on them (without knowing what they mean).

The second group of people forward the form to a compliance area. The compliance people file these worthless forms in folders. Lots of folders.

Once a month a different group checks all the folders to make sure there's plenty of paper in them. They fill out a form saying that they did this, and someone else signs off on it.

Quarterly, a bunch of 22 year old auditors show up. They verify that we verified that there's a whole lot of folders full of paper in those cabinets. They then tell upper management that everything is in order.

Upper management is happy. Soon, though, they'll probably notice that we haven't actually done anything productive in quite a while. I think they'll be unhappy then, but I'm not in upper management, so what do I know?

If that's the worst thing I can think of to vent about today, it's all good..

Just finished watching the local news. I'm not sure what is worse, showing a grieving woman on TV when she's finding out her husband was shot and killed in a barbershop burglery, or the (more typical) toothless idiot witnesses that they always find to interview about the drama they're showing. (DH and I think they purposely pick the dumbest people available.)

I had a horrible day, but it is slowly getting better. Tomorrow is Friday, pay day, and I have a three day weekend to look forward to .

I WAH. On Thursdays, one of the people in the office is supposed to call me when they're done for the day, so I can go in and copy some files out. Did anyone call me tonight? NOPE. How hard is it to pick up the phone? I always have to call and make sure they're really done, which means making sure no one answers the phone. But, how do I know they aren't still working and just ran to the bathroom? Oh, well, their fault when I boot them off the pc

I was stuck home with my kids today! DD had no school and DS is sick. And 3 out of my 4 daycare kids called out sick. When the 4th's mom heard she decided to keep her kid out too. I still get paid but I was stuck with my kids who fought ALL day!! And DH is working late. I'm putting the kids to bed at 7 whether they like it or not
