Is the product rate code WWEB used with National available for anyone to use? (Sorry about not being clearer the first time)

Just curious if anyone else has had trouble getting a quote to come up online for National this past week???
Everytime I try, it seems it takes forever and then it just knocks me right off line. :earseek:

I've never had that trouble before this week.
Just wondering if it is because I have been trying so many comibinations of code/coupon/discounts???!!

Yes, it is open to anyone. It has some restrictions (e.g. must rent for a week).

I wish I had found this post a few weeks earlier! I have buyer's remorse now. Pre-paid with Hotwire:

5/29/04-6/6/04
SUV
Hertz
28.95 per day
Total with taxes for 8 days $310.xx

I got $327.27 for a 9 day SUV rental from National from 9/17 - 9/25. Unlimited miles. And pickup/drop off at MCO.

Is that a good price? Can anyone give me any clue is this a good reservation?

gctong.....is that total inc tax?
What kind of codes or contract #'s did you use?

We've never rented an SUV before because of the cost, but that seems rather reasonable......
I drive an SUV normally and hate it when I have to drive a "regular car"

Thanks for the expertise cindyfan!

It says it's the "total estimate" after base rate, discount, subcharges & taxes.

I used Product Rate Code: WWEB (from national's website) and Contract code:6600330 (from rentalcodes.com). I tried using the Emerald Club code but it didn't give me a good rate. I tried other companies who quoted above $400! So I figured I'll stick to National since Mousesavers says it's a good rental company.

So for a standard SUV, 9 days, pickup and drop off at MCO, unlimited mileage and no extra warranties/insurance, since I have that, is $327.27 a good price? I'm going in September so I wasn't sure if there is "low season" discount. I got it now since I hear that rental car rates are going up.

National code WWEB
P/U and D/O Dolphin Hotel
Apr 9-18
Full Size incl taxes $287.04

gctong.......
I punched in the codes, etc that you used..........
I have 1 week plus 3 days.......
For a full size....it came up with $333. I have a full size already reserved at $320 using the Carlson code and Entertainment coupon.
And then I punched in a standard SUV and got $400 for the same time frame using what you did.
So I think that maybe the discount I already have is just slightly better...and the rates may still be a bit lower for you since you are going in Sept.

Thanks for the info though!!!

DisneyKidds, I sent you a PM in response to using the Disney Club # when renting with National. Joan

Cindyfan, I'm assuming you are going in June? That sounds like a great rate! Is the entertainment book worth it?

I hear sometimes if you rent at a different drop off time (and drop it off earlier than you plan to) you might get a different rate. Has anyone found that happening?

I called National because I wasn't sure whether I could use a coupon and a code-Glad I did-just changed my reservation.

Full size car
National-Dolphin Resort
WWEB + Entertainment Book $20 off coupon
Apr 9-Apr 18 (Easter)
Total estimated $245.

What an awesome CS Rep!! She searched out the best combination for me and booked it.

I just booked w/Thrifty for March 22-29 for a compact, base rate was $115/week, used mousesavers coupon = $104/week. Total with taxes about $148. This was the cheapest I could find right now, other ones I looked at were atleast $160 after taxes... :)

Minivan for $565 after taxes for 2 weeks . That is a base rate of $226.7 per week...From Dollar.com using no code...It was cheaper without a code. This is for the last 2 weeks of August. I like dollar because you do not have to give a deposit and they are in the orlando airport....:Pinkbounc :jester: :bounce:
