Post Your Atkins Chooses in WDW parks...

We are going to WDW tomorrow morning for two days and we started Atkins last week. We have stuck to it to a tee, except I think I may have been having a few too many veggies (1 cup extra, because I do salad and then large veggies with dinner) but otherwise to a tee... so here is my question for all your ATKINS followers, what are your picks in WDW for Atkins meals?
I would like some suggestions for counter and sit-down service. Will WDW give you the carb/sugar counts on food if you ask? Any ideas would be appreciated.
 
As I understand it Peco Bills (in MK) has excellent burgers and salads. Get a cheeseburger and remove the bun - eat with knife and fork or get a chicken salad.

Kona Cafe at the Poly has som easy lunch choices like burgers and salads as well.

Le Celliers in EPCOT has steaks on their menu and the cheese soup although I don't know about carbs with that because it is made with beer.

50's Prime Time Cafe at MGM and order the Roast Beef sandwich or the Meatloaf (again not sure on carbs)

Ask for everything to be served with veggies rather then with fries or baked potatoe.

Boma at AKL has a meat station that would probably all work.

And for breakfast stick to eggs, omelets, and avoid mickey waffles.

I've found breakfast to be the toughest meal at WDW, unless you go to a buffet and spend $$. It's hard to find protein choices at a reasonable price, so I usually eat an Atkins bar for breakfast with lots of water. Then we opt for an early lunch.

We also find that table-service restaurants cost just a bit more than counter service and the food is usually much better. DH and I often split a meal since the portions are so big (he also eats low-carb). Also table-service restaurants are great about substituting veggies for carby stuff.

If you are eating counter service, there are LOTS of places with grilled chicken salads. Cosmic Rays in the MK has that fixin's bar so you can order a burger without the bun and then load up on lettuce, onion, cheese, etc to dress it up.

I'm sure Dan Murphy would be a great one to give his input. He just came back from 11 days in WDW, stayed on Atkins the whole time. I know he found food he could eat at CRT breakfast, don't know if he was happy with the choices or not, but I know he didn't cheat!
 
Although you'd think breakfast would be easy, I found it to be difficult. If we didn't want to pay for a big sit-down breakfast there weren't many Atkins-friendly choices. so, we wound up at a lot of buffets where I would get eggs and meat.

Lunch at counter service places helped, as did dinner at the restaurants. We were in Epcot most of the trip and didn't have a tough time. I'd stick with meat everywhere, lol. Some of my favorites were lamb meshoui in Morocco and duck in the Chefs de France.

I know that it's too late, but for the next trip........

The Boardwalk Bakery does a mean Breakfast Burrito. And before you flame me (we're on Atkins too), we pulled the top off and squished the scrambled eggs, cheese and diced ham up through the tortilla skin and ate the inside.

It was really good!!
 
Saturday I had a Toy Story Salad w/ Blue Cheese Dressing, that night we ate at Jungle Jim's. I had a "French Onion Burger" which I had "lo carb" so they served it minus the bun and with a pretty good sized Caesar salad instead of fries. (The burger had a slice of Swiss cheese on it, it was on the plate with a small cup of FO soup with no wine in it so minimal carbs). Sunday I had the Colony Salad at Liberty Tavern it had two no no's but they weren't a total blowout it had very few apple chunks and some tiny walnuts, otherwise it had chicken, cheddar and vinnegerete (sp?) dressing so it was ok. Snacked on a turkey leg and drank water with each meal. We did shakes or bars for Breakfast, Atkins Creamy Cinnamon Bun is really good!
