I know!!! I'm SOOO excited! I just started reading the series, and I have about 50 pages left in the first book! It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO amazing! I can barely put the book down! I googled the actors/actresses who will be playing the main roles!!! I was pretty pleased with everyone except Cinna and Gale..... I LOVE Peeta and Katniss though! It's going to be such a GREAT movie!!!!!!

Since I cannot seem to find any good "dystopian" genre books, I am writing my own. At the moment it is about a war "for humanity, against humanity" in which the United Nations, which is now corrupt, made up of the rich, who buy their way in, is trying to slowly, and quietly kill of the human population, because the Earth is reaching its carrying capacity. The people who are being targeted at first are people living in poverty, mainly in Asia and areas of Africa. However, the main character, who I have a feeling will end up being my alter ego, knows that the middle class, which she belongs to, are going to be next, and with the crazy techniques the UN is using, there is almost no way to stop the horrors that are going on. What do you think? Critique and ideas are welcome, because I'm afraid that I will end up almost subconciously copying The Hunger Games.

I take it you've already read 1984? I was turned off from it for the longest time because the synopsis never pulled me in. But seriously, it's become one of my favorites. It's just amazing.

I spent about 2 hours reading the first book last night, which is RARE for me!!!! It's so sad because I feel that I''m reading the book WAYYY too fast, so I'll probably end up re-reading it!!!!! I googled "the cast of the hunger games" last night and a picture of all of the tributes popped up!!!!!!!!

I'm VERY pleased with who they chose for Katniss and Peeta, but I don't care for Cinna and Gale... I imagined Gale with a darker complexion and a little sturdier.... If that makes any sense!!! Also, I didn't imagine Cinna to look anything like Lenny Kravitz...
