Question: Why was my post about MNSSHP moved to another forum? My intent was to alert other DVC members that tickets were available and that no DVC discount was being issued. I have seen many other threads in this forum that are not even remotely on topic; i.e., "What's the funniest or strangest question... ."

Did I violate some rule?

Information about Theme Park activities is located on the Theme Parks Board and guests here should visit that Forum to find Park related information.

Most DIS members do come to the DVC Board for information and discussion about the Disney Vacation Club. The "<i>Funniest or Strangest Question</i>" thread is, in fact, DVC related- as the rest of the sentence in that post explains.

While there admittedly are threads on this Board (and others) which are sometimes questionably DVC related, the moderators do their best to try to uphold the site <a href="http://www.wdwinfo.com/guidelines.htm"> guidelines</a> which DO ask that posts remain on topic for the Forum . <b>(6. STAYING ON TOPIC: The boards are named to reflect general topics. Please refrain from asking questions about park hours on the DVC board, or questions about the Caribbean Beach on the Trip Reports board. )</b>

In the case of MNNSHP, the event is not DVC related (as you even pointed out- there is <b>no</b> DVC discount) and information about that event is already posted on the Theme Parks board and on the <a href="http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/index.htm"> Holiday events site</a> right here at DIS.

One of the improvements in the new forum software is that a moved post still shows in its original forum. You just click on it and it takes you to the right place.
