Post-May PI

Hey guys,

I'll be graduating this May and will be looking for something to do Disney-wise. I probably want to apply for a CP in Entertainment, but the thing is I would love to do a PI. I'll be graduating with a degree in Marketing and would love to try to find some work there, but I've looked on the PI website and there's no details on when the PIs are. When does one start applying for PIs that will start after May?

I have good news!! You can actually do both!
My roommate is a perfect example. She graduated from college this last May, is currently an Entertainment CP for this Fall, and she has been accepted for a Global Marketing PI for the Spring season that starts in a week or so. The rules for applying for PIs are that you have to be either a current college student or a current CP participant when you apply for the next season. That being said, if you wanted a PI for this fall, my guess is the application season would begin sometime around February or March, but that's just a guess.

The good thing about doing the CP first is that you have the chance to network with Disney leaders and interviewers before going into the application process, which definitely helps. If you end up doing the CP, I really recommend the Exploring Marketing class that you can take. It's free, no homework or tests required, and most (if not all) of your guest speakers are people that would probably be interviewing you for the Marketing internships that would interest you.

Edit: By the way, I've already done a DCP as a Vacation Planner Spring 2011 Forgot to mention.
