I can see both the eggs and then the hatchlings after they hatched. I didn't see them right away, but they did show up in mozilla eventually.

Just for fun, I logged back in in Mozilla and they're all eggs again for me. I could see them all on IE but I can't see them in Mozilla. I wonder if I need to update mozilla or something....how does one do that?

I am using Mozilla 1.7.10

If you want to update it, then go to mozilla.org

On mozilla you just need to right click on each (different colored) egg and hit "View Image", then you just refresh and you should be updated.

I just looked at the site of what all the eggs turned into:

and it looks like yours is just what you got, a half cracked egg!
but it seems that eventually they change again into something else.

LOL don't give up, it might change, by the looks of that site, the first eggs that were hatched have changed so there is hope yet!

im sure anything is better then a foot!
