post disneyland trip depression

I'm homesick too. I haven't been home since June and don't currently have a trip planned.

Yes, I have found the only real cure is to have the next trip scheduled before you even begin the current trip. :rotfl:

Sounds like APs all around are in order. ;)

I have the blues too as we've been back a couple of weeks now, but my blues stem from the fact that my son and I got sick when we were there and it really burns me that I feel we wasted so much precious time feeling so sick, in our room!!

This is not the first trip this has happened, and we were going once a year for the past 6 years, (we live 2000 miles away) but now, we will have to hold back on going for a LOT longer, like 2 years at least.

I just feel so sad/down that so many of my memories and pictures are clouded by illness (sore throat, bad cough) and really wish I had never taken the trip with our family at that time. It feels like we wasted so much money to take the trip at the worst possible time. (The time before that, I had a raging ear infection and could barely hear. Flights were horrible with ears like that.)

Blues are worse in some ways, I think when the trip itself wasn't as nice as was expected.

I missed seeing the WOC - that part really hurts too!

So - OP - ((((HUGS)))) to you!! So many posters here understand the Disney depression after coming home from a much enjoyed trip to Disney. Hope you feel better soon!

I go through this too! I just found the DIS boards a few months ago and I don't know how I dealt with Disneyland withdrawals before!
Looking at photos, reading TRs, reading tips and questions really helps me with my DLR fix until I am able to return to the parks!

4 days until I go back! & about 6 days until I start experiencing post-Disneyland Depression :sad2:

I feel your pain! Reading trip reports helps. I also like to plan a "fake" trip and try and see how cheap I can do it. Warning....fake trips most of the time turn to real ones. Our last trip to Disney World was unreal...check it out.

Day 1: Drove to Disney World with DH from Charlotte NC
Day 1: Checked in Disney World resort and stayed for FREE with my sister who was there for a medical conference (she is a Dr.)
Day 2: Had a blast doing all kinds of fun FREE stuff around Disney world, went on the DVC tour and got a $100 gift card, stayed another night at CS Resort on property for free!
Day 3: Went to MK for free with our "give a day of service pass"
Day 4: Drove home ( before you ask, yes, we did take my sister out to a nice dinner!) :thumbsup2

The $100 Disney gift card paid for our food and all we had to pay for the trip was gas! Best (or cheapest) trip ever!

So....you just never know when or what will bring you back. :)
