Post Cruise DATW List (Updated)

Talked to DW (TMLI)....we're in.

Quick question.....anybody doing DATW that have kids. If so, what kinda plans you have for the kiddies. We'll have to decide what to do with DS.

I wish! I won't be cruising or in WDW around that time. I just like to torture myself & read the threads about all the fun things you guys will be doing.

Yep. I have to work sometime, and it's too busy at that time of year to take much time off. I really shouldn't take ANY time off in the spring...but some things are just too important to miss.

:sad1: :flower3:

   How old is DS? If he's under 12, I'd use The Sandcastle Club. :thumbsup2 It is in the Beach Club, you could drop him off and walk on over to Epcot. :goodvibes

My kids will be at the AKV club that night and/or staying with Grandma in the room is she is still there.

He's 12 almost 13......what are you all doing with the 12 and overs?

The last DATW we utilized "Kids Nite Out" where a babysitter comes to your room.
Worked out great for our 2 boys, although the babysitter had a little trouble keeping them in line.
She took them to the resort arcade and the playground and then they went and had something to eat and back to the room, all on our dime mind you.
They were sound asleep when we got back.
2 kids, 9 hours, $176+20tip+40 we left for dinner(she left the change), etc=$236
But it was worth it to have that time alone (well, just DW and I and all the other DATWer's) and not have to worry about picking them up and transferring them back to the room afterwards.
We were going to go that route again as I dont want to have to deal with them whining "Can we go now?" every 10 mins (yes, that is what would happen)
We had thought about Camp Dolphin for the Poly meet but they close at 12 and that would mean Jellyrolls would need to be cut short, so.......

Most of the clubs are $11 per child, so that is more expensive than KNO which is only $18.50 for 2, but it is $16 for one, so those of you with only one may want to go the club route.

Our DD is 14 Almost 15. So it's alittle different for us. She was actually allowed to hang out in future world with Grace (Teresa from the podcast's daughter) They rode Test Track and Soarin, while Paul and I strolled World Showcase. We both had cell phones and she called in from each attraction. :goodvibes We will give her a choice. She can either hang at the room or come to Epcot with us. She'll probably choose the room and watch a movie. Typical lazy teenager...

ETA: Grace was only 13 and did fine with my DD. :goodvibes:

Lockers??? Why didn't I think of that--its brilliant!!!!!

Please add me to the DATW post Podcast Cruise. I will be at the world till the 21st.:thumbsup2

This DATW is turning out to be a lot bigger than I thought! Leave it to Disers to change a couple of people getting together for a beer, to a crowd of partiers being led around a theme park by a light saber!! :lmao: You guys are nuts!!! :rotfl2: :goodvibes

Warm nuts? :rotfl:

Got room for a couple more?

Count me in for sure -- maybe DH, too!!!

With this large of a group I am guessing there many be a number of drunk dialing calls made. And not only to Pete's toll-free number!

(Mindy you may want to consider changing you number.)
