Post Card Rate

I finally got a postcard rate in the mail. 2/17-4/16 $74 value resorts and 4/17-7/04 $59 value resorts. Doesn't it figure, I finally get a postcard and I can't use it. That is just my luck. I wish these things were transferrable so I could pass it along to one of my fellow DIS members but since they aren't it is just going to go to waste.

This postcard rate, is this send in the mail or is it emailed? I am waiting for our tax refund before we book our April trip and I am praying for a code. Thanks!

I also got this postcard and was unable to use it BUT.......we are going in late July and when we called we were given some good prices for moderate resorts. I think DH said $88.........we are hoping for AP rates also but these are good. My suggestion would be to call and see if there are any other good deals for when you are going. Also, I thought it was funny the postcard came to the school where I work in my name? To my knowledge I never have sent Disney anything with my school address.......I was nominated for a Disney teacher award but would that make me on their list? I have sent for info before but always with my home address...strange huh????? I am not complaining as getting the card made me call and we were able to get some nice prices.

I got the same postcard last year, for roughly the same dates and rates, and couldn't use it. I'm hoping I don't get one this year, because even though we'll be there from 4/17 to 4/24, we will need two rooms so it works out cheaper to get a house offsite.

My sister got a postcard for value at $59. Called to ask if I could use it and they said it was not transferable, doesn't seem fair.

We've booked short DVC stays on points for DH's grandparents in the past. So guess who got a postcard sent to our address? Yup, dear old Pop-Pop!

I was able to book a stay for myself and DD using his rate. I carefully told the CM that we received a card at our address but the "family member" it was addressed to "would not be joining us on this trip." All of which are true, but I didn't want to advertise the fact that he doesn't even live with us.
