Post Card Question

I need some advice. I just received a post card from WDW for "select deluxe resorts." The dates given include our upcoming trip. We have our trip booked with DU, but our agent is out of town and will not return until the offer has expired. Here are my questions: 1) Is there any way to check the resorts available online? 2) If I call the number myself, they won't let me change my current reservation, will they?, or 3) I have a name for another agent to use in an EMERGENCY, but should I bother this stand-in agent for this? I would really, really appreciate any input anyone might have on this.

Will the rate on the post card save you money? If so then, YES, contact the TA and use this postcard, because usually you will not find a better discount than with a post card and it could save you hundreds of $$$, especially if you are paying rack rate.

If you are currently booked with the 7/5 deal then do the math first to make sure that the post card would be a savings over that, since the 7/5 deal is pretty good.

Also, getting a postcard is rare, so take advantage of it if you can!

I would bother the "stand in" for this.............the post cards are rare so if it works out to be a good deal go for it.

I also got that card and it requires a pin, I am going to call on it and see if I can apply it and then not use the AP rate I have now. Hopefully it will be good on more than just AKL or WL.

How does the card rate compare to the AP? Just curious.

I got the same card today and called right away.

We'd already booked a trip for CBR for $3476 (2 rooms, 2 adults, 2 teens, 4 nights, Dream Maker plus Silver). But then I got the Disney Visa. So we switched to WL for $3477. They were also going to give us $25 per room in Disney credits at checkout.

With the mailer our new price is $3387 but we don't get the Disney credits. That's a net $40 savings over the Visa rate. We saved around $600 compared to rack.

The mailer is good for more than just AKL an WL. I had the CM price out BC and YC. But rooms are going fast. All they had left at YC was waterview.
