Does anyone know when DCL will release dates for May 2005? Any info that you guys could give would be greatly appreciated! My fiance and I are hoping to book soon.
Thanks!

I was on the Magic last week - 10/11 and Donna said the rest of 2005 would be open this January. This is January, 2004.

I hope so! I booked an early 2005 date, but am waiting to move to Memorial Day 2005.

We know which cruise we want in 2005 too, and we are just waiting for the dates to come out to see if we can get a SPH room.

I was browsing the DCL website today, and they are currently taking reservations through May 2005.

Lloyd Dobler . . . Did you try to book the date in May, 2005? Everytime I tried, it came back and said those dates are not available, yet. I could only book through March, 2005 -- even though April and May are listed in the drop down list.

I think they will open up in January, 2004.

RFD,

No, I hadn't tried when I posted my last message. The page says "Reservations can be booked for any month, from now through May 2005" (emphasis theirs), but when I tried to actually book a cruise, I got the same message as you.

I also received the same message when I tried to book for May 2005. I wonder why they would put May in the drop down menu when you can't use it yet?

My guess is that DCL will follow the same procedure as it did last year when it opened up reservations for the remainder of 2004 and that date was December 30. My suggestion is to book now and then rebook as soon as the remaining dates open. HTH

Is there some benefit to changing a reservations as opposed to just waiting until the rest of the dates come out? I've been thinking of a summer 2005 cruise, but never thought to book something now & change later.

With the weather like it has been, it helps to be planning a trip to some of this --> :sunny:

I believe it would only be worth it now if you rebooked for any date onboard in order to get the onboard credit and then switched the dates when the remainder of 2005 is released.

The biggest benefit is if you want to book a particular stateroom (Say a Cat. 1-3) you book now, send a fax request to Disney Inventory Control stating you are currently booked on such-and-such cruise but when the remaining dates open you would like to book for a different stateroom (a Cat. 1) and give some optional dates.
