Post 09 AAA rates here

removing my info since I apparently must be lectured on how to spend my money

AAA TA just called and we saved $419.44 (15%) on package for Poly GV, 7 nights, Jan 21 - 28. :cool1: :dance3: :woohoo: :cheer2:

I had a reservation thru Disney, and just changed over to AAA.

12/4/09 - 12/13-09
2 Adults, 1 Child (10 yrs)
Polynesian => Garden View
10 Park Hopper Passes (3 adults)
Basic Dining Package (3 adults)
$5,055.30

That was a savings of $539.28 compared to the Disney reservation.

Question, if disney comes out with a code that is a better deal, can you switch this reservation or would you have to start all overe with wdw?

I was told that YES you could with a couple of caveats, that I think also apply to booking through Disney as well. The caveats are: the "code" dates must be for the same dates as your reservation, there must be rooms still available under the promotion code, and your balance can't be paid in full. If you meet this criteria, they will apply the better code.

Thanks for the info, did you book aaa via on line or the phone?

With Water Parks $5,220.13

6-Day Hopper with Basic Dining the total is $5,264.56
With Water Parks $5,584.13

6-Day Hopper with Deluxe Dining the total is $6,454.56
With Water Parks $6,774.13

I booked over the phone. I've never been able to book online, in fact, the website says you have to speak directly to an agent, even just to get prices, etc. I'm not sure if that's just a New York thing or an AAA thing.

Just got off the phone with AAA and booked 2 rooms at the Poly, both Garden View for Jan 21 - 28th (I see other Dis'ers with the same dates! )

Room 1 - 7 nights, 8 day park hoppers, standard dining, for 2 adults, 1 child (other child is free due to age) Total with all taxes: $3876

Room 2 - 4 nights, 5 day park hoppers, standard dining for 2 adults Total with all taxes: $2559.

This works out to $339 a night (all taxes included) which looks like 15% off the value season rack rate. :thumbsup2

This was cheaper than my honeymoon 6 years ago! WHOOOOOHOOOOOO

I just booked POFQ for Aug. 30 - Sept 5, 2009.

For the six nights it was $804.66 with AAA discount - about $200 off the full price. It works out to $134.11 including taxes per night.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Are you seriously paying that much to go to DisneyWorld? 4 people and one of them is a child? I go to an upscale Riviera Maya Resort every year, 2 adults and one kid and I don't pay near that for 14 nights with airfare. Please tell me your price at least includes airfare? I just can't even imagine paying that much for Disney World, I know that includes all your meals on Deluxe but still............I have stayed at Poly, POFQ, CBR and the value, honestly, the Poly is nice but for the cost difference, I would do CBR or POFQ, the grounds are beautiful and let's be honest, you don't get anything from the Poly for the price, the mods have fridges and the grounds at both mods were beautiful and each little section of the resorts have their own pools plus a bigger public pool, I just can't justify the costs of the Deluxes, heck you can go on another vacation if you picked a different resort..........but to each their own but wow, $8000 for Disney and your in the USA???? :sad2: Honestly, you could go on two very nice vacations a year for that..............please rethink and see exactly what it is your paying Poly for for that price? if not, you will enjoy, I just wasn't all that impressed with the Poly, I actually liked POFQ and CBR better...........

Hi. Looks like AAA discount is only 15% for the values in value season. Their 2008 brochure lists 20% for values, so that seems to be a change for 2009. Anyone confirm or deny this? I got 15% on my All Star Music Family Suite, but I thought it was just the suites, but now I'm seeing 15% on regular rooms.

As I already posted above, I can confirm this. I got 15% AAA discount on POP in value season 2009.

I just booked our package through AAA! :woohoo:

Total: $1, 993.48

Savings of $201.12. Not bad! :)
I'm still crossing my fingers for free dining!

I just booked AAA room only rate for December 2009.

Wilderness Lodge, Courtyard View, 12/6/09 - 12/13/09, $272.53 per night (tax included). The AAA rate save me $337 off the rack rate for the 7 nights.

Yea, another December Disney trip booked.:santa:

AAA room only rate: FW Cabins, May 16-20, $1219. That's about $400 less than I found it on Disney's site. :cool1:

As I already posted above, I can confirm this. I got 15% AAA discount on POP in value season 2009.

Exactly why I mentioned this, in case anyone was making plans based on last year's brochure. Values have decreased from 20% to 15%, which is a disappointment to me. I was hoping for the 20%. Still better than nothing.

Thanks.

Contemporary Resort Garden wing standard view
$2,469.76
Broken down it's $238/night + tax
