Possibly weird poly elevator question

OK bear with me I know this might be a little weird. I haven't stayed in the poly for a few years and the last time we were there we were in Hawaii and I don't remember the elevators as being particularly small. This year we're booked into a lake view studio in Moorea and I saw picture of the outside of the elevator and it looked really small to me. I have claustrophobia but I can normally go in elevators fine however if it's a really small elevator I have a problem. Can somebody let me know if it's at least an average size elevator? Thanks

There are two elevators. The one facing the entrance doors IS tiny. Really tiny. But if you are facing the elevator, walk to the left and there will be another elevator right behind the small one. It's a more normal sized elevator :)

You can also request a ground floor room. We had one in Moorea and loved it. We could see the bungalows, but could also see Space Mountain and Cinderellas Castle between the bungalows. (Some views from other rooms may be worse.)
But why worry about pixie dust that is far when you can see pixie dust that is near?

I'd request ground floor for medical reasons and explain why.

The elevators were tiny... Even the side one. We had trouble fitting 2 strollers in 1 elevator....

Thanks for the replies. Our home resort is BCV and those elevators are just fine...

I understand your concern in general about elevators. I avoid them when I can. We were in Tokealau and used the stairs all the time, much faster. Enjoy the resort!:thumbsup2

We've stayed in Pago Pago and Moorea - both times on the 3rd floor. I think we used the elevator twice - checking in and checking out. The stairs are much faster.

The stairs are on the outside of the building for Moorea (never noticed the others so don't know about them) so if that helps...

I'll prob try elevator to challenge myself lol but will use stairs mostly

Just FYI, those other elevators in some longhouses are Service Elevators and not meant for use of guests unless the guest elevator is not working.
