possibly odd stroller question

we're on the fence about bringing a stroller, but will probably end up bringing one with us into the park. Let's say that, after a couple hours, I decide that we won't be needing the stroller, and I'd like to not drag it around all day. Would anything happen to it if I just left it the stroller parking of a strategically placed ride to pick up again at the end of the day? Are there the stroller equivalent of parking tickets?

I understand the increased risk of theft and the 0% chance that it stays where I left it, but are there other drawbacks to this option? Would this be considered a breach of Disney etiquette?

Thank you for indulging me.

not a problem. Park it in the "lot" by the carousel, nice and central, and pick it up when you are ready to make the trek out of the park. I definitely don't move our stroller between every ride and restaurant, just from "land" to "land."

I had one for my ds and he never used it. The backpack had a nice day in it. You could use it for your gear. If you bring it i wouldn't leave it all day as they do get moved around by the CMs. Make sure your name is on it in case it gets turned into lost and found

You can do that. I usually at least move it from land to land but we go on several rides without going back for our stroller typically. Just realize of course if you are in Tomorrowland and your LO falls asleep, but you left the stroller in Frontierland, you are going to be walking quite a hike carrying a sleeping child.

I wouldn't leave your stuff in the stroller if you plan on leaving it for any period of time. There are thieves at WDW, and an unattended backpack may be just what they are looking for. Never leave anything on your stroller that you would miss if it were to walk away.

It is not unheard of for strollers to be stolen. I'm sure the odds are against you in particular having your stroller taken, but if it is a pricey stroller you may not want to assume the risk.

You'll be fine. We've just pushed to a central location, worked around that area, then grabbed it when we moved on.

Although your stroller may not be in the exact place you left it, it should still be in the same parking area. The CM's will move things around sometimes to make more room, but I don't think they ever move strollers completely out of the parking area they are left in.

Another "its ok" vote here. We move from land to land, parking it, hitting the attractions in that land, then loading back up and heading to the next land.

I think you'll be fine! I've left ours before when we rode the railroad to another land then walked or took the train back later. Probably no more than two hours but if it's parked in a designated area no one cares how long it's been there!

thanks for the input everyone!

We'll definitely keep our backpacks with us and we're bringing our beat up, old umbrella stroller, so that should remove most of the theft risk

On the other hand, maybe it will get stolen and I won't have to carry it home :)

The last year our daughter was in a stroller, it was probably parked about 90% of the day. No problem whatsoever.

Only breach of etiquette is if you chain your stroller to something. I watched cast members cut a bike chain that held a stroller to a railing last September. Otherwise we always leave our stroller in a central area and do the rides around that land. Only once did we park our stroller behind the castle and it got moved to another area. I parked it with other strollers, but at the time didn't realize that wasn't a stroller parking area.

I just had to laugh at this. What if your child decides that's not the right decision? :)

Not being unkind and others have answered about leaving your stroller which is a great idea. But - if you do need it later, remember someone will have to fetch it. Honestly, I would send the kid to do it :)

And everything is in jest - I was blessed with a stroller free kid at the age of 18 months. Did all of Disney World at the age of 3 with no stroller so I gently kid people about strollers.
