Possibly getting on the Long Beach airport bandwagon

We have always flown into LAX without issues but I am noticing PDX to Long Beach is cheaper and I am all about saving a few dollars.

I don't believe DL Express goes to Long Beach airport. I am curious as to how people are getting to and from their hotel. I DO NOT want a shuttle that takes you to everyone's house before getting me to where I want to go! So......what ways are the best?

Depending on the size of your party, taxi may be the way to go.

That is what I was thinking too....not sure how much it would cost taking a taxi? I also wonder what you do the morning you leave...do you call a taxi service to pick you up?

It was mentioned in the other thread that the rate is abuot $40 per way, so if you have 3 or more people, then it would be cheaper than DLR express would be. I'm not sure about super shuttle, or if even operates out of LGB.

On the way back, you can call yourself or just have the hotel front desk give a call for you.

Mary Jo, according to their website, the Disneyland Express only services LAX and SNA.

californiasupershuttle.com is a private shuttle its always on time and great service. It costs $52 for 3 adults and 2 young children. Be careful with taxis they have flat rates leaving LGB, but coming back it tends to be metered and can run high. Have fun!

That's right. When we flew into LB last May the taxi rate was $40.00 to our hotel but the cheapest rate we could find back to the airport was $55.00. Have your hotel call the day before to arrange your ride back for you.

Thank you. I am now considering renting a car so we can go to the outlet store.

That's right. When we flew into LB last May the taxi rate was $40.00 to our hotel but the cheapest rate we could find back to the airport was $55.00. Have your hotel call the day before to arrange your ride back for you.

$55 still would be cheaper than a shuttle for 4 people.

But renting a car may the best if there are other places you'd like to visit. Don't waste it; make the most out of your own transportation.
