Possibly dumb question about Ebates/Orbitz

This probably seems basic to a lot of you, but I've never used Ebates before.

I just booked our November trip on Orbitz by clicking through from Ebates. The little box popped up that said "that's it, there's nothing more to do" or whatever. I'm just wondering how long it takes before Ebates recognizes the Orbitz booking on their system. I don't see anything on my Ebates account that indicates it "knows" I booked Disney on Orbitz. If it doesn't show up, does that mean the booking isn't eligible for cash back?

I don't want to miss out on the cash back, if there is any...

Sometimes it takes about 24 hours to see it. If you login to Ebates today is it visible?

I use eBates a lot & it sometimes can take up to 2 weeks to show up. Most post within 24-72 hours though.

I don't see anything pending, but maybe it'll show up in a few days. Thanks for the replies. :)

It usually takes a few days for me to see my eBates rebates.

And if it doesn't show up after a month, you can always make an inquiry. Their tracking system is pretty good, though.

So it is now Oct. 20 and nothing ever showed up on ebates. How do you even prove you clicked through them? I never got an email or any kind of proof on my ebates account even though I did click through correctly and got the pop up message when I made the reservation. Guess I should have done a screenshot. :(

How do you even prove you clicked through them?
It should show under "Tracking Tickets" under My Account in ebates. When you click on Tracking Tickets it should bring up a list by month of each time you clicked through to a store from their site. You'll need that tracking ticket number if you want to follow up on it with ebates.

Thank you!! There are several tracking tickets there. Only one is when I made the reservation. At least I can get it figured out now.

Not a bad question at all. I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for sharing!

Some affiliate sites do not credit (or list a credit as pending) into your account until the travel has been completed. This prevents you from cashing out and then cancelling the reservation. Do not be surprised if it does not show up until after you get home.

Thanks for that. They told me to wait 40 days but it still hasn't shown up. I don't think I could cancel the reservation, though, as I paid in full at time of booking.

Did you look under "My Ebates > Cash Pending" ?

"Tracking Tickets" are the first posting. They are created when you create a link.

Once the transactions are verified, they go to "Cash Pending" . They stay there until they post to your account.

When they post to your account and you have access to them, they can be found under "Cash Back History".

Yes, there is nothing there under Cash Pending. I sent in a ticket and they told me to wait until 40 days. At this point it's either right at 40 days or a bit over. I guess I'll wait another week and then see.
