Hi All,

This may be blasphemy to post on the DIS;), but I have a question about Universal Studios. We are going to be near Orlando this weekend with a free day on Saturday, and since we're already planning a WDW trip later this year, I thought we might try Universal Studios for a day. We've never been, so I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for which "side" of Universal to go to with our 3 boys - ages 7, 3, and 16months. Or would Sea World be a better choice for 1 day?

TIA!!!

I didn't see if you made a post on the other two pages. I would say though it partly depends on your boys. Sea World might be a good choice because they are a bit young, and a lot of the rides at Universal have height restrictions. There are things for smaller ones to do at Universal, but with all they can't do you might get bummed. Sea World has lots of shows and exhibits, but it's still fun. My girls liked Sea World more when they were young.

Thanks, guys! I didn't even realize that there was a Universal section of the DIS. Now the title of my question doesn't make any sense! :)

I will try to read through some of these threads, and I don't mean to make my lack of planning someone else's emergency ;), but we are leaving tomorrow and I don't have time to do my usual amount of planning. So, does anyone have a suggestion about which side of Universal for 3 boys, ages 7, 3, and 16 months?

THANKS AGAIN!

I would say IOA mainly because of Seuss Landing and Camp Jurassic. Both areas should keep your kids entertained for hours. Of course the Studios has a fun playarea as well and E.T. so that's why it's hard to guess on which park. I would still go with IOA especially if your kids like super heroes.

Universal Studios has Woody Woodpecker's kid zone for the little ones. This includes Fievel's playground, Woody's Nuthouse coaster, Barney & Friends and the Curious George play area (mini water park). It also has ET, Animal Actors show, and Shrek. If your 7 y.o. is tall for his age he should be able to go on most everything in this park.

Islands of Adventure has Suess' Landing for the little ones. It also has the bigger thrill rides. My niece, who is petite, at 9 just barely made some of the height requirements. She was unable to ride Hulk, Dr. Doom and Dueling Dragons.

Given the ages of your children I would do the Universal Studios side. It has enough to keep the attention of a 7 y.o. (Revenge of the Mummy, Men in Black, Jaws, Disaster, etc.) and still has plenty for the little ones.

While the 7 year old can have fun.. Personnally I would wait for the 16 month old to get bigger and enjoy it more. Sea World would be perfect for the whole family. We went once to US when the kids were real little and spent whole time at Barney..kids had fun but at that age Seaworld is better.

For the ages and you did choose Universal Resort ,I would say the Studios side...
But truthly I think Seaworld everyone in that age group will have more fun!!jmo
