OK so me and my boyfriend have been chatting about a possible trip to DLP for 2 nights/3 days, then going on to Amsterdam for 2nights/3days. We'd be trying to do it on a budget and looking at maximising the use of our time.

We'd probably be going around June/July kind of time. Flights would probably be the easiest way to go, can fly from Edin, Glasgow, or Glasgow Prestwick.

So...do you think it would be best to stay on site (this is all I've ever done), or maybe go off site and buy park tickets separately?

Has anyone flown from Paris to Amsterdam, or does anyone know how else we could get there/how long it would take?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, and also any ways to get him excited about going, as he is seeing the DLP side of things as an absolute compromise!!

Also, I'm going in May, but I don't know if it would be worth me buying an AP as I'm not sure what other trips I'll be making in the next year, though I'm trying to convince some girlfriends to go next Jan, and may go back in Sept with my mum...

Thanks in advance!

well, first off it does sound like you need an AP! ;)

I am an advocate of train travel when it makes sense. With the advent of low cost carriers, it often doesn't make sense to take the train. Check out fares on www.skyscanner.net for sample low cost fares. Then estimate the time needed at each end for the airport (and AMS is a very nice airport with lots of shopping opportunites.......)
