Tony's has plenty of availability (as always) until mid April.

And then NOTHING.

Until mid July. Then availability at all times and dates, as usual.

Are these the dates of a 3 month refurb? If so, any significant guest experience changes?

Like, a menu?
Breakfast when guests enter MS at 8am?

Anyone hear anything on this apparent closure?

It's possible but nothing has been announced as of yet. The restaurant certainly needs a refurb and menu change.

I've only been to Tony's once 8 years ago. I found the menu offerings to be just okay.
The location and view are wonderful. If they could just nudge the dishes up a bit, I'd go back.

The greatest thing about a Tony refurb is Dis team will have to go back and do another dining review.

Even though I really do want them to improve their menu and the food quality, as it's such a fab location so it would be great to have an amazing restaurant there.

The little evil part of me,:maleficen in a total schadenfreude way, would find it slightly amusing if they went back after an extensive refurb and it was still truly awful (sorry lol :earboy2:)

We've eaten at Tony's a number of times. My daughter loves the place. I work in an Italian restaurant / pizzaria, so I'm not as thrilled with the offerings at Tony's as she is, but I would have a hard time calling it truly awful. It certainly isn't GOOD . . . but the food I have had there has at least been palatable, if not entirely enjoyable.

Magic kingdom is consistently awful with a knife and a fork...
...that's intentional, and unlikely to change.

I'm normally a QS gal when I'm in MK, but I did have a fab meal at BOG on our last trip.

But I do think Tony's has a potential for a really unique theme and a fab menu.

Who knows it could potentially end up the most search restaurant on the DIS lol :lmao:

It would be great if they brought back breakfast at Tony's. We have missed it for too many years.

YES! That was such a great breakfast in a great setting. And one I think they could easily fill even with 3 other TS breakfasts in the park already. However, I wouldn't get my hopes up for it.

At the least, we have to hope a refurb would mean a new menu...and a new executive chef.

I enjoy the Pooh & Friends breakfast at CP - but how hard is breakfast?
I've had lunch & breakfast at BOG, both were pretty good.
For in-park table service, I largely favor Epcot.

I agree...

But most of the quickserve and the remaining table are overpriced and pretty bad.

I think it's unlikely they ever expand the breakfast options at magic kingdom.

With the new morning show, potentially there is new demand.
We know they won't miss an opportunity to let us use the magic bands to buy something.

I checked for my April/May dates and there is dinner availability for all the days.

I do miss breakfast there, and I often hope they will bring it back. Fingers are crossed that with the new opening procedure and show on the castle stage, that they might finally do it.

They just did - although it was QS options.

BOG, CP, & CRT (I'm even annoying myself with all the acronyms) are all pretty much full every morning. While i agree with you it's highly unlikely, I do believe there is enough demand to support a 4th TS option.

I could only hope for something decent...CP is the only breakfast there that features some taste on the menu.

I would love Breakfast at Tony's, then again me and my family really enjoy Tony's so I am probably in the minority.

I will say had one of the best deserts ever at Tony's green apple sorbet, it was incredible and perfect for a hot summer day.

I realize why some don't like Tony's, but I don't think it is as bad as most, and really enjoy eating there.
