Is it possible to trade a small add-on contract with another DVC member? I mean the contract itself, not transfer points one year to a different member. We have 300 BWV points and added on 50 VWL points because BWV was sold out. I was pretty disappointed that I hadn't waited when BWV came back for sale, but now I think it is sold out again for our use year. I have seen a few references to the fact that there is a VERY long wait list for VWL points for our use year (I won't say which, since I don't want this to look like an ad) which makes me wonder if perhaps VWL was sold out and some BWV points were available at the time, if someone might have added on 50 BWV points when they would really have preferred VWL. Is it possible to legally "trade" contracts? It would make my bookkeeping SO much easier!

It's possible but your essentially talking about selling them each to each other and going through ROFR. Closing costs between $300 and $450 EACH contract. Plus finding someone who has the same use year, is willing to do it plus working out the costs is very unlikely. If you do find someone, they will likely ask you to cover both sides of the closing since you're initiating the request. Your best bet is to put yourself on the waiting list AND to look for a resale. Then if it comes through, sell your VWL contract or just keep them both.

I think maybe I hear somebody calling "Maistre Gracey".
