Possible to snag SDFP for popular rides?

Is it possible to grab SDFP at RD for some popular rides like Soarin', TT, 7DMT, EE or even Wishes or Fantasmic?

i have always booked in advance, but have added Fantasmic as a 6th FP+ late on a busy day. Not seen Wishes though. With the rides, I think you need to look at when you are visiting. I have never seen a 'day of' FP for Soarin, TT or 7DMT. I have for EE. If you can, I would recommend selecting your fast passes in advance.

We got Soarin' same day, plus I was offered SDMT at one point (for 2 people... but it was 4pm and we weren't planning on being in the park at that time). We got a second EE FP+ as our 4th FP+ on an AK day. I was also able to move times around for Space Mountain, and get a further FP+ for my 6th FP+. We weren't in parks on days with more than level 5 crowds though, and we always in most recommended parks.

Possible...yes. Probable....maybe. A good planning strategy....no.

Seriously, yes, I have been able to snag even an A&E as a 4th (or more) FP......but it is really and truly the luck of the draw, or an overabundance of pixie dust showered on you. I think the one that shocked me the most was that A&E...and this was back in the height of the 4/5/6 hour lines. I wasn't looking for it, obviously, rarely am for the special ones......but there it was. I pointed at it and both my daughters said, at exactly the same time: "Nahhh, that's gotta be a glitch".....we grabbed it and it was for real.

If you are really hoping for something lucky like this though...plan to stop at any FP Kiosk within a quarter mile of your present location....and check it often, and then some more. Someone somewhere has been kind enough to change their selection to something less important so that YOU can have that great unexpected FP.....grab it first, and THEN raise your eyes to the heavens and thank them.

Very true! The morning we got our Soarin' FP+, we had cancelled our MK selection. I seriously hope I made someone's day, as we dropped A&E and SDMT

In April, we got Soarin' for a noon time slot when we checked at 11:00a. TT was also available when I checked a couple hours later.

When we entered DHS at 7:30p later that same day, Fantasmic was available.

EE is different than the others on your list. Much more potential availability.
