DF and I are visiting WDW in the fall, and because of shorter park hours and such, I'm afraid we'll only be able to afford one day at both US and IOA. Is this even possible? We're thrill ride people, so we'll be hitting all of the major attractions and staying away from most of the tamer ones, but will the frantic pace be worth it? (Neither of us have ever been to US/IOA, so we definitely have to do some pre-trip research on the attractions beforehand!) The opening night of MNSSHP is the same day we've put aside for US/IOA, and we'll probably be dashing back to the MK to do that as well. Three parks in one day ... Is this actually possible, or are we going to go mental for trying it? ;-)

DD and I spent a full day and about 3/4 of the next day at IOA alone last year before we felt we had done enough. (We also took in Horror Night). We were there on a weekday and virtually no wait lines either.. NO way could we have gotten USF in as well. Like I said, that was with NO crowds.

Hopefully, you have more than one evening planned for MK. IMHO if you attend MNSSHP, you do NOT want to be in a ride when the fireworks start.. they are incredible!

We are going again in Nov, and still haven't been able to fit Krakken (seaworld) into the schedule... all the more reason to plan for 2004:D

Don't forget Busch Gardens.. it is an older park but doable in one day and they have some of the BEST coasters! Been a couple of years since we were there, time to think about going back again
:D

Yeah I know -- it sounded crazy to me too! ;-)

I'm trying to think of a way to wiggle everything into the schedule. I'd love to go to Busch Gardens too -- such a great theme park! -- but there's just NO time left in the schedule. But you're right, all the more reason to plan for it next time around!

Do you have any experience at US/IOA on Saturdays? Are the crowds unmanagable, or not so bad?

Thanks!

Yup! I found the crowds pretty heavy on our first time there. (we went 2002, just after New Years) Kids were out of school.. not sure if it was Sat or not, but crowds would be heavy when no school anyway I would think. Vowed at that time NEVER to return. I didn't understand their express pass system and FOTL.. and got very PO'd at all the people gettin off an attraction and immediately reentering.. all the express kiosks were emptied early in the day as well so we didn't get on some things we wanted to do. (that was just USF, IOA is WAY busier) I felt I spent a lot of $$$ for nothing..plus the weather was cold and wet.. very miserable experience!

THIS year, we have a weekend PLANNED at USF/IOA for the whole family... staying on site so WE get FOTL privies. Just hope nobody gets "park rage" when we leave them standing in the rain.:D
