We will be going to US and IOA for two days. Sunday and Monday- Monday being Martin Luther King Day with all of the kids off of school. I know Sunday will be busy too.

On Sunday, we will be doing breakfast with Spiderman at IOA.

Will we be able to do both parks on Sunday and both parks again on Monday?
My son is 6 and does not really like the 3D movies much. My mom doesn't like the rides (and has a bad heart) so will basically go on whatever my son does.

We want to get express passes for at least one day. Should we get the two park express pass for Sunday or Monday? Is it possible to do both parks in one day or is there to much walking?

Thank you to all who can help!!!!!

Doing both parks both days might be stretch. It should be pretty crowded that weekend and walking will be a factor. You might be alright on Sunday but Monday you will probably start dragging a bit. I think you would do better with the EP's on Monday instead of Sunday since most of the families will be heading back home from the long weekend. The parks are open until 7pm that weekend so it shouldn't be impossible to do everything. Have a good time! :thumbsup2

I don't think it's possible to see everything in both parks in one day. Especially if you don't have the express pass and it's a busy day at the park. You might want to go to Universal one day and Islands the other day. That's the only way I could see you fitting everything in.

I don't think it is possible even with an express pass. You can definitely do highlights of both, though.

It is possible to do both parks in one day with the express passes, but you need to get there when the park opens early in the AM. I get the two park express plus pass and have had no problem hitting every ride in both parks (we missed Terminator-2 last time I was there). I obviously skipped some of the shows that I wasnt interested in, but if you want to do all the rides it is definately do-able. We always stay onsite at Disney and so we dont want to pay for transportation to Universal more than 1 day a trip. For the past 3 trips we have done this and will do it again the upcoming 3 this year and have rarely had a problem getting almost everything done. I suggest you start at IOA though and work your way over to US after that. That is the way we usually do it and it has worked well for us in the past.

Well, on our Dec. vacation we did both parks in one day and it was the Friday after Christmas. It really wasn't all that crowded and we didn't have express passes, but we got on everything we wanted to ride. The only rides that were very crowded were MIB, Spiderman and Mummy, we did the single lines for those.

During Labor Day weekend we hit the high spots of both parks in one day with no express passes. Get there early - they will open the gates before park opening. Universal crowds don't seem to get there as soon as Disney crowds do. You can get a lot done before lunch.

Ok, if I'm understanding correctly, it's iffy to do two parks in one day. How about 1 park in 1 day. Would that be doable (let's say you want to do everything within that one park) or is that iffy too? The time we would be there would be late November/early December which means hours would be roughly 9:00 - 6:00.

It honestly depends on the age group and what you actually want to do, as well as crowds and whether or not you'll have Express.

If you have no kids, you'll probably be skipping a few of the attractions at both parks and that'll save you some time. If you're just trying to do the highlights of both parks, I do think that's do-able in one day.

One day for each park should be more than enough. We usually use a third day to repeat our favorites.

I was wondering if you could do both parks in 1 day with the express pass if you dont do the trill rides?

I like these rides but my mom hates them. On the trip in May we just wanted to see if we liked the place. We are going back to Disney the first two weeks of December and would like to go back to Universal then.
