I'm going to Universal in February 19th, and was shocked to see it marked busy on the crowd calendars, Is it possible to do most of the Harry potter rides (which i know dont accept express passes) and most of the other highLights rides in both parks like The simpsons,Spiderman, transformers,ET,Mummy ect with the express passes?

We have had trips where we've only had one day to do both parks.

We had done the major highlights in both parks but that was before Diagon alley.

We did 3 days our last trip. I think you could still do the highlights but you might not have time to really explore the HP areas.

Are you staying onsite? If you are you can take advantage of early entry which is a perk for onsite resort guest. Also another perk of staying onsite is unlimited express passes for onsite guest at HRH, RPR AND PBH.

If your not staying onsite be at either park you choose at rope drop and head straight to either Diagon Alley in Universal or Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure. Express pass will help, but seeing everything and getting on all the rides you want may take some perseverance. Hope you got park to park tickets you will need those to ride Hogwarts Express between the Potter parks. Remember with the regular express pass only one express ride per ride with unlimited express pass unlimited rides per ride.

Have a great trip. pixiedust:

I took 2 of my kids (12 and 8) to Universal and Islands of Adventure for the first time a few days before Christmas. We had 1 day to explore both parks and we did not get express pass (didn't stay at one of the resorts that offers it and it cost $150 per person the day we went, which is way out of our budget.) We had a wonderful time and I felt like we got a lot accomplished, even with Christmas crowds. Parks were open 8-10pm that day and we were there the entire time. Headed straight for Gringotts at arrival (we loved this ride.) After Gringotts we did all of the following:
Ollivander's wand shop show, Hogwarts Express (in all we rode this 3 times throughout the day- amazing), tried ButterBeer, all the rides in Suess Landing, saw Grinchmas show, son rode Dragon Challenge, had quick lunch, we all rode Flight of Hippograff, watched the baby Dino hatching in Discovery Center, did all 3 water rides as it was quite warm on this day (and got drenched/luckily brought extra clothes), rode Mummy, Rip Ride Rockit, break for big pink donut in Simpson area, Men in Black, ET, the little Woody Woodpecker coaster, watched some of the Macy's parade/floats, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Florean Fortescue's ice cream break/more pics in Diagon Alley, Spider-Man and finally son did Dr. Doom as park was closing. Line for Forbidden Journey/Simpsons was always very long and to be honest, I was hesitant to try these rides without my husband in the park in case they would make me sick (I still had to drive kids and I back to resort.) Then we had a late dinner in CityWalk. I would think with the Express Pass, even with crowds, you should be fine riding the headliners.
Have a great trip!!!

You should be able to get a lot done. I went in early Aug. 2014 for 3 days, only had EPs for one day and I think we rode everything except Gringotts (we were there a month after it opened) and ET (it was down). I can't recall if we rode Forbidden Journey that day or not... Oh, and we were staying off-site so we didn't have early entry. But we were able to get so much done in just 1 day.

crowds for potter 2+ years ago were lighter than they are now.
hope the poster bengordon has limited waits for the rides in the parks!

there are always days where you can be surprised and get a lot done so don't give up hope.

We went day before thanksgiving. Stayed at portifino so we got in early and got express pass included in our room. We had two club rooms for six people. The rooms were pricey but the express pass alone would have cost 89 per person in top of the ticket price of over 110 per person. We also got breakfast Pkus cocktails and snacks at nite. We checked out early in the morning and left bags with bellman and car all day. Even though we arrived at hotel about noon and left about 8 pm next day we only paid for one day of parking. And I wasn't feeling well and came back to hotel earlier than rest of family. I hung out in club and had drinks and snacks.
Only telling you this because overall I found portifino and the club level to be well worth the 500 a night considering the express pass and the food included for six people.
We spent from 8 am until 7 pm at parks. Did Harry Potter first thing. Longest line of was for hog warts express which was about 45 min. Other than Harry Potter rides our express pass allowed us to walk on most rides.
