Possible silly DDP/DVC question....

I will be renting my first time this year and have really tried to research and answer all my question but in a discussion the other day I saw that someone mentioned that if as a DVC member (or renter in my case) pays in cash then the can get the free DDP? Is that true? My logic says no because I dont see why Disney would be bias against credit card payers or people who pay with cash. If so then it might be great for our family trip, if not then thats fine too!

What the poster was likely saying is, if a DVCers wants free dining, they can make a rack-rate cash reservation through Disney (just like anyone else) and not use points. DVCers are not eligible for free dining on point stays or member discounted stays.
