Possible Reshop - Costco or Disney?

Currently booked on a 4nt Dream cruise in August 2019 in a category 4 that sleeps 5. (Also booked and already paid for a 5nt Magic in 3/2019).

Thinking of adding a second stateroom for my mother to come with us now, and dividing my family up - especially since the deposit is now only 10% and we wouldn't need to add any additional funds - especially if we can cancel and rebook (prices appear to be the same).

Question though, if I book this time through Costco, is it hard to possibly reshop the August cruise in March. If I book through Disney is that process easier?

I don't think it's any "harder" or "easier" to reshop while onboard. Just go to the future cruise desk and see if booking onboard will save you any money. Remember, prices could increase enough to negate any savings with an onboard booking. If it does, then make a new reservation onboard. You can indicate Costco as your TA when you make the onboard booking, or not, as you wish.

One thing that I ran into was when I was re-booking my upcoming cruise on my last cruise. I had two adjacent staterooms, and wanted to keep the same staterooms. Onboard, the cast member told me that he couldn't transfer the old reservation into a new reservation; that they could only do that on land. So we ended up making a new reservation, and then calling DCL when we got home to cancel the first reservation and move our second reservation into the same cabins. Not a show stopper by any means, just hadn't expected it (so I didn't have the down payment amount in discounted Disney Gift Cards available; I actually had to pay the full down payment amount!!) :)
