Possible Refund for Dream Maker?

Hi everybody,

my dad just called WDW to ask some questions about our vacation, and the woman that he spoke with mentioned about the new packages to him, and that the dream maker would no longer be available if we booked another vacation for the next year. She also mentioned that there would be some sort of refund for him because we bought the more expensive package. When he called back later and tried to ask a different person about this, they didn't seem so willing to talk about a refund. Any thoughts?

I would call again...or simply state like you did in your post, he was offered a refund, by rebooking to the new packages. I am sure you will get it...just remain polite and calm, lots of pleases and thank you's still work.

I was told if I booked a regular dream makers packages then found the New MYW package more to my liking - I could switch - at no cost or penalty - even if your vacation is the following day (of Jan 2nd). I was told the EVERYONE who was scheduled to arrive during Jan and Feb could call on/and after Jan 2nd to switch without penalty too (Disney normally has a policy of a penalty of any changes to packages within the 45 days of arrival) - This is being waved!

So my advice - On Sun Jan 2nd get on the phone as early as possible! Go to mousesavers.com and figure out if hopping or the plus option is important to you - if not important - you are in for a wonderful discount - a few hundred dollars at the very least! A friend of mine who booked a Dream Makers Package with Princess add on for our upcoming August trip (in November 2004) - Has figured that even if she get rack rates stands a credit of over $500 - yours may not be as much considering that your countdown reads your coming during value season - but any credit is better than nothing!!!
