Possible reason for weekend items day switch.

Maybe vmk wanted for the kingdom as a whole to get the new items so kids wouldn't be sitting in school and adutls at work and only the lucky few who were home to experience the items first?

I actually preferred the Friday release. It gave me something to look forward to last year, as my High School firewall was cruel and unforgiving.

This year it makes little difference. I only have two or three 50 minute classes on Friday (which I may or may not go to depending on how early I want to wake up, you gotta love College), so signing onto VMK immediately wasn't any more difficult than if I tried on Saturday.

I would say it has more to do with the end to weekend pins and three day specials. I think they slowed the pins down because the inventory issues. I was adding 60 - 100 pins a month just for new pins. Granted I have pulled 100+ CasieJr. pins (could we please work on switching that up VMK - new or old change the pin already) I know they claim it is because they are busy working on great things but I think they did the math on it. Other releases for the most part are entering stores on Saturday which ever week and staying at least all month with a few exceptions.
