Anyone read that there is a good chance for a Premium Event at MVMCP that could feature the cast of Frozen at Cinderella's Castle? I read an article on it yesterday- of course I can't remember where.

$99 per person would include premium seating for the parade and fireworks along with a desert party at the castle. You will get to meet Olaf when you enter and then the rest of the cast will come around during the party. There may even be a Frozen sing along and a special memento given out.

Of course it said this was a rumor but it was pretty detailed and sounds like fun! I hate the price tag of course but I think I would give up a couple table service meals for it.

Ouch, so another $99 on top of the $60+ you pay to get into MVMCP...this is starting to become a dangerous precedent. They're already doing something similar with MNSSHP, so I shouldn't be surprised that it may happen with MVMCP.

More fleecing of the masses...

I have read critiques of people who have experienced this premium package and all said they would not do this again, rushed in the Castle for goodies, and the price is way out of line for this experience. So, buyer beware! Sorry folks, I just reread my entry and realized we are discussing MVMCP and NOT
MNSSHP. But, based on what I did write, I suspect the package will result in the same reasoning.

I know that because the Soiree is doing well it is a definite possibility. We are already booked for the soiree and I was hoping they would announce this soon so that we can get it booked for the night we plan to attend MVMCP.

I have heard there is a good chance it will happen. Whether it's frozen or not I don't know but based on the Halloween premium event I would expect a Christmas one. I've also heard their May be more premium events in other parks for Christmas.

Yeah, I think the "dangerous precedent" was already set with MNSSHP. The nice thing about it? You really don't HAVE to do it, you know.

There was only one bad review I've heard about, and it did come from this site I believe. All other reviews I've seen said it was great, they did not feel rushed at all, and they would definitely do it again.

Adding an experience that wasn't offered previously isn't making people who don't buy it miss anything.

I hadn't heard this, but it's hardly surprising that there would be a rumor or an actual event on the heels of the Villain's Sinister Soiree. While next month will mark our first MNSSHP, I gather that it and MVMCP (which we have done) are essentially the same kind of gig with different themes; what works for one will more than likely work for the other.

I hadn't read anything since we didn't feel like spending the extra money, but did first come across this negative review on DIS. After that, though, I found this very positive review and the Orlando Sentinel review which offers a positive review of the Soiree -- aside from some mixed feelings on it eating into their MNSSHP time. Kenny-the-Pirate's review is a bit more critical about particular details, but ultimately seems to view it positively as well. All of the positive reviews seem to have had a vastly different view, or vastly different experience, inside the castle than did the DIS review.

At the end of the day, everyone values these kinds of experiences differently and everyone may have a different view and opinion on the same experience. If there is to be a comparable MVMCP event, it's probably good to read through some Soiree reviews -- both positive and negative -- to get a better picture of what might be expected at a MVMCP event and how important those types of experiences are to you and your family.

I have no problem with add on's during parties, but I hope that these special events within special events do not result from removing characters that were normally available with a party ticket.

If there was a Frozen add on, to me it is no harm no foul, because that is not something that was removed from the party line up. You want o pay more, do your research and decide if there is a value for your family. I would not have the same opinion if characters were removed for your paying pleasure.

I agree. I'd love to see this party take place - a dessert party in the castle and reserved viewing for the fireworks and parade sound great. Even considering we'd do the party I don't like the idea of characters that have historically been available during the party moving to this event.

1) Why not?
2) As P.T. Barnum says, "There's a . . . "
3) He would be so proud of WDW.

If they do a Christmas soiree in the castle, I hope they pick better characters than just the Frozen characters...
