After clearing this with Vince (and my DW and DD), I'll be coming to the meet on the 25th with all my pin framing supplies. I invite anyone attending to bring pin sets and frames and I'll custom frame your pins for you. Also, don't forget to bring personal momentos (photos, brochures, ticket stubs, postcards) that can be framed along with your pins. If you like the results, you can (completely at your option) trade my framing services for pins.
A couple of notes... Consider buying frames that don't have a lot of overlap of the frame on the glass. This just eats up display space. The 8x10 frames are fine for small sets, but if you want to frame pins with a momento or two, step up to an 11x14 frame. I have a circle cutter and have (pretty much) perfected a Mickey head mat cut, but it'll only fit in an 11x14 frame or larger. I'll also have several of my framed pin sets with me to give you some ideas of what's possible. I use mostly black matting because the pins look best against black, but I'll likely bring some other color matting as well.
Finally, if you're wondering where to get frames--and I know this sounds cheap, but--WalMart sells "document frames" in 8.5x11 and 11x14 for $3.97 and $4.97 respectively. They're black wooden frames with gold painted accents. I've used these for most of my sets and they look great. It's not about the frame, after all, it's about the pins!

). And making a pin frame would of been perfect. I think I have all the pins I wanted to put in my wedding frame. Maybe next time. Let me know if you have anything in Dec. (i'll be gone 29th - Jan 7 wdw).
