Possible Opportunity Of A Lifetime

Hey everyone,

Most of you know I love to sing and play my guitar. Well, the other night when my Mom went out with the Pharmaceutical guy she has been seeing I was playing and singing up in my room. He commented to my mom that I was really good. So my mom kinda forced me to play something for him that evening. He then told me and my mom that he went to school with a guy who is one of the heads of an Independent Music label in Nashville called Tri-Beka and that he thinks I should send a demo into him. Well, I told him I don't write music of my own and only play covers and he said that it didn't matter. I have talked to my Mom and she said if this is really your ambition , which it is then I should do it. So , as nervous as i am right now about this I am going to do this. There are no guarantees that the producers will like my stuff, but my Moms date is going to send it in and highly recommend me. Everytime I think about this opportunity I just want to scream. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Thank You, Mad World will be one of the songs I use for sure. I will also use Hey There Dehlia, and possibly Behind Blue Eyes that I posted, but I don't know about Kiss From A Rose yet if I want to use that song or not. I will have to re-do them onto disc and really have them perfected. My mom and her guy that she is seeing are going to look into a possible studio to record the songs I will use.

Thank You all, Like I said I am so excited about this. I am just in the preliminary stages of it right now. Choosing materials, looking for a studio around here to record a few songs for the demo tape, and practice, practice , practice. The guy my mom is dating said if they like the stuff they her they will send me down to nashville to perform live for them and then go from there.

Thank You, I am going to give it the 110% try and like you said it is great experience. I am only 14 and I have a lot of time left, but it would be so awesome if this came to be.

Of course I will post the ones I posted before because I haven't done any new ones in about a month now. And I don't think I will become really famous on an Indy label, but it will be a start somewhere and a huge opportunity to meet people in the business and I just don't mean other famous people, I am more concerned about meeting the executives and stuff like that so they can how I perform.

Oh, I am so excited right now about this. It may take a while for anything really substantial to happen, but my Moms date said if they like me enough they will have me down to Nashville for a while to work on things and with songwriters and other musicians.
