Possible new member needs help with Thanksgiving yrly trip?

We have been debating for 3 years over buying into DVC. We just came back and stayed at the WL and loved them. However we think that the BWV is a much better location for us. Therefore we are about 95% sure we will buy a BWV resale. However one of the only times we can go is the week of Thanksgiving? I have read some posts that say even 11 months out you can get shut out during that time? But that is one of the only times for us? I am a little nervous? We will probably book a 1 or 2 bedroom each time we go? Any history is going and booking during that time will be greatly appreciated and probably will make our decision for us! To be absolutely certain you can call day by day. When you call the first day, ask their opinion of how rooms look if you don't want to keep calling. Chances are very good that you'll get what you want if you call ASAP every year. If for some reason they don't have it then, you have 11 months for cancellations to take place and to have something open up. Worst case, you'd probably get something at OKW or VWL.

If you buy BWV, you have the same priority as other BWV owners. You just have to call as Pam stated, 11 mos ahead, Call first thing or try the 407 number- others have reported luck having this answered before 800 # and call each day instead of waiting 11 mos from your check out date. DVC usually works better for those who do plan ahead or those who are flexible with their dates. The only hard time may be Christmas week as anyone can get on SSPL- although DVC says they've all gotten ressies so far.
