Possible new DVC resort

I ran across this article.

Disney is purchasing 15 acres of land near Washington DC for a stand alone resort. While the article does not mention DVC specifically, it does mention the resort that is being built in Hawaii which we all know will be DVC.

I saw a couple of articles about this too. I am surprised there's no buzz or inside info posted.

The article I read mentioned that Disney is branching out, trying to appeal to families don't necessarily want to vacation at the park every year but like the Disney way of doing things. Which, in my opinion, is very smart.

I can't wait to see what happens with the new property! Of course, I hope it's a DVC property or at least has some dedicated villa type rooms.

I think at the very most it will be a mix of regular hotel rooms and maybe a few DVC rooms, but I'm kind of leaning towards it not having any DVC rooms.

It would be great if Disney built a VC Resort in DC.

I really like visiting DC...lots to do and easy to get around.

15 million for 11 acres....more than I thought land would go for in that area.
