Possible new discount question

Hey guys! I am going to WDW Jan 26- Feb 2. I've already used a PIN- yea for me!! I saved $350 on 7 nights at POFQ with 6 day park hoppers for me, dh, dd8 and ds6. Now, was the Canadian discount just a free ticket upgrade or was there a savings on the room? I'm wanting to do the math to see if I need to try to jump on this as soon as it is released. If it is just the ticket upgrade- I think I will probably keep what I have. I don't need the water park and fun option- not planning on doing any of that- just want park hoppers. Does anyone know if it knocked some off the rooms too?

There was a room discount, but it was modest---approximately what AAA would get you, plus or minus.

And you can have your PIN discount or the new ticket discount but not both.

Thanks guys. I know I can't have two codes, but I'm trying to figure out if the new one would be better than what I already have. I am trying to do the math so I will be prepared if/when the new one comes out. Thanks for the info!

Well on a 4 night 5 day vacation package.. each adult would save 132$ .. but only if you were getting those Park Hopping and Waterpark Fun & More in the first place. Otherwise you're technically only saving about half that..

That's what I'm thinking CanadianGuy. If it is just the ticket upgrade and nothing off the room too, then I think I would save more with what I have. Just the ticket upgrade from a six day base to six day hopper would be right at $200- a little less- for 2 adults and 2 kids. The waterpark and fun option does save you more if you are going to use it- but I don't plan to go to a waterpark - and we are going in Jan.
I'm very happy with what I have- just looking to save the most money possible....

I'm not sure what your price was, but we are taking pretty much the same vacation as you (see you there)! Two adults, two kids, staying at POFQ from Jan 26 until Feb 3. We used the Visa code this morning and got the 8 nights plus an 8 day pass with hoppers and water parks and more for a total of $2030.36. Assuming the tickets were $864.80 (per Mousesavers), we got the room for $129 per night. I think the rack rate is $149, so there was a discount on the room. I think without the new code, AAA discounts the room 20% so it would have been $119 a night, but I'll gladly pay the extra $10 a night for free hoppers and a half day at Disney Quest!
