Maybe cause she (he??) is SO dang tall!!! She (he?) has to pushing 6'0" I think.

I wondered why, when she was with Captain hook this weekend (?!?! That was weird in and of itself) "her" hands were the same size as the captain...and they were the same height.

To add further info to the Queen of Hearts comments - it's also because the costume itself is very heavy. Between that, the height requirement, and the union contacts, it has to be a male CM.

Maybe it was the lighting or camera in the first picture or something. Because the dress is a weird color too.
