Hey everyone!!

My friend and an accident involving stairs last week and might have to have knee surgery. She has been really worried and a little depressed because her Disney trip is scheduled for December. So to cheer her up I am making a list about why it wouldn't be tooooooo bad to not be able to walk at WDW. Here is what I have so far.....

1a) Wheelchairs......a handy little invention that lets you see the world (Disneyworld that is) without leaving your seat.

1b) Edited out! sorry if I offended anyone. I was just trying to make my friend laugh and not trying to get prefered treatment.

2a) even better than wheelchairs are the electric scooters....travel the World (again that is Disneyworld...hehe) from a comfortable seat.

2b) scooters come equiped with baskets to hold all your shopping, diaper bags, purses, etc.

3) You will be riding in either a wheelchair or scooter ( my disney dollars is on the scooter) so there will be no sore feet or blisters for you) woohoo!!!

4) there will be no need for a swimsuit because if you have surgery there will be no swimming for a while...........which really is a good thing because swimming in December (even in Florida) is BRRRRRR!!!!!

5) You will not get tired chasing DD..your hubby will have that happy privilege

6) you wouldn;t have to have a stroller if you didn;t want to.....DD could ride with you when she was tired.

7) Disney bus service makes it really easy to get scooters on and off the buses.

7b) You will always have your own seat on the buses!!! hehehe

Can anyone think of anything else?

You're at Disney! :woohoo:

That's a good one!! My biggest problem at Disney is getting tired legs from all the walking

Hopefully she can forego the surgery until after the trip. In two months, she should be able to walk around (still letting the husband chase the booger-eater).

I wonder why I didn't think of that.... :thumbsup2
This is a good one!!

You might want to modify 1b as most of the entrance lines are wheelchair friendly. I've dealt with wheelchairs on two trips with my husband and then my father. Only once did we get "preferred" treatment. That was at Flights of Wonder and it was a surprise for us since we thought we'd just go through the entrance with everyone else.
