Possible issue with dog sitter and we leave soon

We got a call today from our house/dog sitter (we leave in 16 days) and she said she hated to make this call but she was at the vet with her very sick dog. She is not sure what will happen with her dog but of she is still sick, she would not be able to dog sit for us.

I feel so bad for her and hope all is well with her dog. I am now scrambling for a plan B.

Lesson learned (that I hope others can learn from): Always have a plan B for your dog sitter..you never know what can happen.
