Possible DVC resale purchase but ? on banking need advice quick!

I have an opportunity to purchase a BWV relsale at 150 points June use year with 150 points for 2000 banked to be used by June 2001 I assume?? My question is this. We are currently planning a trip in Nov 2002 Thanksgiving. To stay in a two bedroom, which is what I would need, we would need all of the 150 2000 points and 150 2001 points. However I am not sure if the 2000 points can be used or will expire in June 2001? Anotherwords if the points are available when I book is that ok? We really don't want to borrow forward because that would put us behind. And we cannot really go before June 2001 to use those points? Any suggestions before I make a decision. Sorry for the confusion, as you can see I am new to this and possible buying today??

The way I am seeing it from reading your post is:

Those banked 150 points must be USED in the 2001 use year which starts for a June use year June 2001 and ends May 31 2002. If the points are not used by May 31 2002 they expire and are gone forever. There is no way to carry them over for a Nov 2002 trip.

"2000" points means points issued June 2000 and good for a trip that starts and ends between June 2000 and May 2001. If they are banked, they are in the 2001 use year which is June 2001 to May 2002 and must be used for a trip between June 2001 and May 2002; those cannot be banked again.

For that Nov 2002 trip though you could still have two sets of points. In June 2001, you will be issued your 2001 points which are good for a trip between June 2001 and May 2002. You could bank those into the use year that begins June 2002. On June 2002, you will get another 150 points; thus for a Nov 2002 trip you could still have 300 points to use without borrowing.

Except for the 11/7 month window, it isn't important when the booking occurs. The points must be available for the time period in which you are taking the vacation, and not necessarily when you are booking the vacation.
