So we will be spending part of our honeymoon in Disneyland! We will be WDW annual passholders at the time we go (we're getting them b/c we're getting married at WDW). Is the WDW annual pass good for any discounts at Disneyland? Hotel? Dining? I'm guessing no but just wanted to make sure.

No, that pass won't help you in anyway at DLR. Sorry, but enjoy using it at WDW.

No, but I think I've heard mention of an AP good for both parks- it might be worth looking into whether that's a cost effective option.

The problem is, the WDW APs you are given when you get married there, have no value to upgrade with they are complimentary. So while there is a Premier Pass good at WDW and DLR, you would have to pay the whole amount for it.

You might want to consider a Disneyland AP, since there are a large number of discounts. Every Disney shop and restaurant gives a discount, the only exceptions are food carts and Napa Rose. Many Downtown Disney shops also give an AP discount. On your honeymoon, you are likely to dine at some of the better (expensive) restaurants and buy many souvenirs, so the savings will add up :thumbsup2

This is a major contrast to WDW AP, which gives very few discounts (at least in my experience).

I've had both a WDW and DL AP. I get the Deluxe AP at DL because I always go when there are not blackout dates (Sun to Fri, off season). I get the DVC discount on both so the premier AP would not work for me plus I plan my trips to get the most out of the passes so I wouldn't want one expiration.

First off, congratulations.

Before you leave, I would recommend upgrading your WDW passes to the premier passes (if possible, see below). These passes are good at bot WDW and DL. They are treated the same as the highest level of passes at both resorts, providing ALL discounts, parking and admission benefits.

I would check with Disney as to if your passes will have any value to upgrade towards the Premier. I know at Disneyland, they would have the same values as if you paid cash for that level of pass.

If they allow you to do so, the cost would be $749 - the value of your pass originally as of tomorrow.

Again, i would simply ask Disney, since you are getting married at WDW, even if there is officially no value, they may be able to work in an upgrade to the premier pass into you wedding cost for a minimal amount. I figure, you should always ask, the worst they are going to say is no.
