Just got a quote for a weeks car hire using link below which gives 15% discount, add discount code MSEHAEX25 for £25 off, less 5% Quidco

Small car for 1 week = £118
15% Link = £100.30
£25 off = £75.30
5% Quidco = £71.54

Doubt anyone can beat £71.54 for a weeks car hire, add tank of gas & extra driver and price goes up to £96.24(after Quidco)

No idea how long the code is valid, I think its for 1 week minimum rental til 30th Sept.

Hope someone can pick up a deal.

Although just noticed it is not valid when I go.

They are releasing a lot of codes this year, hopefully they will release another for you, I got 25% off (+15% link + 8% Quidco) a few week back. Picked up a 7 seater suv for £138, Expedia wanted over £400.:goodvibes

Thanks Wayne, :thumbsup2
this looks like the best offer for me so far as it doesn't ramp up the price for the 'max' option. I need two drivers for when my DH fancies a beer (expensive beer!!!)

Hi Wayne

Link is not working for me at the moment, unfortunately I am at work.

Can you see if it would be cheaper for me to get an Intermediate suv through this, is it autocars? So far I can get an suv for £359 which I thought was good with drivers and a free tank of fuel. Am I going to get it a lot cheaper?

Going 31st August - 13th September, if you get a chance, although I will look when I get home.

Its with Holiday Autos who use Alamo cars.

Your dates for Intermediate SUV, Tank of gas & extra driver = £281.95 less 5% Quidco = £267.85

Thanks Wayne

That is a good price, will look into it tonight - thank you :)

Thats one more thing out of they way, just the disney park tickets to go

I booked 21 days intermediate SUV with the 'max' package (full tank of fuel and extra drivers) which came to £444 (inc cc fee) at least £50 cheaper than any other quote

Interestingly though when confirmation page came through ( after payment) it said:
car rental £446.25
Total paid online £429.68
To pay locally £0

Can anyone explain?

It doesn't appear to have tracked via quidco but I am not sure the address line thing worked. either way I am quite happy with the price
Thanks again Wayne :yay:

I will try check my confirmation tonight regarding the difference in figures.

My latest booking tracked no problem but last years didn't, I put a claim in and they paid out OK. Just give it 3 days then claim.

Does anyone know if I can book a car for 1 week but return it after 5 days ?
I only need a car for 5 days but the rate for a 1 week rental is the same (or even slightly cheaper) as the rate for 5 days rental.
If I book for 1 week I can make use of the code to have the extra saving but I need to return the car 2 days earlier. Would that be OK ? or do I get fined for returning the car earlier ?
Seems pretty silly to get fined but I remember having read this somewhere.

Anyone any tips or advise ? TIA !

Not something I have tried but reading a few pages it looks like there is a good chance you would be charged the early return penalty ($15/day?)
Probably not worth risking it for the saving you will make.
What dates and size car you looking for? I will have a look.

Thanks for the info, probably not worthed to take the risk.

I need a midsize car for 13-18Aug for Los Angeles. In my search, the Holidayautos site has the best rate but if you come across any other good offer, pls post.

Thanks again!

Holiday Autos £136.85 less 8% Quidco (for next 3 days) = £125.90
Consider adding MAX cost would be £171.85 less 8% = £158.10
£32.20 for tank of gas and extra driver if needed.

Had a look can't see anything better, always chance they will release a different code if you wait a while.

Thanks Wayne, I am not in a hurry to book so will just wait to see if another code will come up.

Hi Wayne
Sorry to be nosey, but when you say you got yours for £138 instead of expedia's £400 what do you do with regards to the insurance.
I am presuming the £138 is without the fully comp. Is this the same as the CDW, not really sure.
Do you get your insurance seperate. This is the one thing that is worrying me the most about booking a holiday making sure i have covered the car properly.
Thanks:scared1:

The £138 is with all inclusive insurance. Most UK agents (if not all) include insurance. Its usually only when you deal direct and pay in $'s you have to add insurance, they are aiming their sales at US clients who already have their own insurance policies.

Thanks for such a speedy reply. I will now start checking the price. Just one last clarification, sorry I am a bit dizzy, is the CDW therefore part of the fully comp I would get. Cheers.:)

Yes, if you look it will say somewhere on the rental site, Holiday Autos says "Your booking automatically includes collision damage waiver and theft protection cover"
If you post you dates & size of car I will try get time to check they are the cheapest for you.
