Possible Break in the Jennifer Kesse Case

Not long ago, another young woman, Tracy Ocasio, went missing in the Orlando area. She was last scene at a bar in this area. She left with a man named James Hataway. Apparently, she agreed to give him a ride home. Her car was found the next day a couple of blocks from his home.

Since that time, another woman came forward to say that she had been attacked by Hataway awhile back. Although she wanted to press charges, some legal snafu ended up with him back on the streets. This gave the local police enough to be able to search Hataway's place looking for a connection to Ocasio. During the search, they found drugs and arrested Hataway on drug possession.

Upon comparing this case to the Kesse case, police realized that Jennifer Kesse frequented the same sports bar where Tracy Ocasio was last scene. It seems that this has been a favorite haunt of Hataway for some time.

While Hataway sits in jail, Texas Equisearch has come to the area to search for Ocasio. They are also searching for Jennifer Kesse. They think there could be a connection between the two cases.

Tonight on the news, they interviewed Jennifer Kesse's father. He said that he has received a bunch of information regarding Hataway. Hataway currently has a clean shaven head, but that was not the case a couple of years ago. In fact, at the time that Jennifer Kesse went missing, Hataway had a rather strange looking haircut. The information Mr. Kesse received included pictures of Hataway from that time period. He was told to compare the back of the haircut to a picture that was taken by a surveillance camera in the vicinity where Jennifer's car turned up. The picture was that of a man walking past, but his face is obscure due to part of a fence. The back of his head was not obscured. The haircut matches the back of Hataway's head at the time.

Police are going to do photo analysis to see if they can get a closer view to compare the pictures.

It is possible that Hataway could be responsible for both the disappearance of Tracy Ocasio and Jennifer Kesse. For their parents sakes, I hope they have found the right man.

I saw it on the news tonight. I think it was on channel 9. They actually showed the picture of Hataway with hair and the picture taken by the surveillance camera. It looked very much like it could be the same man.

My ffriend told me a little about this the other day but she didn't have as many detaiils as you have. Very interesting. I remember the video in the Kesse case but don't recall seeing hair, I couldn't make out nearly anything but hopefully the police can and have. I hope they get answers and I hope there can be some resolution for the families although I don't think peace or closure will ever come in cases like these. Those poor families/

Now if they can only find something to lead the law to where she is. Though on another earlier report they mentioned that this guy had something to do with dredging work (ponds, etc.) at one time, so it's going to be hard to check all his locations out. Tim Miller (of Texas Equusearch) said that the more he learns about this guy, he is really scary.

Besides Tracy and Jennifer and the missing guy friend, does your mind also go to Nicole Ganguzza? Mine did when the one girl who got away that he beat up and tried to kill was interviewed

Well it's good that they've finally found some one.

One of Kari's best friends (although not at the time) disappeared in 2000. She went to the corner store to pick up a couple things before she was supposed to go to a florida marlins game with her family. They found her car a little while later, but nothing to point where she went or what happened.
Her case has been featured on several shows. I saw one with Kari in 2004 on America's most wanted, and Kari recently found online that her parents filed a death certificate so they could use the college savings funds towards the reward. (they couldn't take the money out otherwise, since it was in her name). She was only 18 at the time of the incident.

Wish there was a break in the case for every one... Hopefully Jennifer's parent's will get to know what happened.

I believe the police are draining a pond in the area today. Florida is such a hard area to search for a missing person. There are just too many areas where a body can be dumped. I'm praying that they find those poor people so their famiies can get some peace. If Hataway is responsible, I hope he will finally be put away where he can't hurt anyone else.

So strange, I was just randomly thinking about this case the other day. I hope her family gets some sort of peace.
