Have a 2BR Standard View booked at BWV next April. Decided to save some points and modified stay to drop the first night and stay in a studio. Luckily a standard view studio was available so booked that. I'm hoping that the room assignment gods will be in our favor and we can miraculously have our studio be the studio portion of our 2BR so we don't have to check out. Has anyone been in a similar situation and have luck doing this?

All the reports I've seen said that they were told they had to move rooms, so they checked out, but were eventually put back in the same room. It seems unlikely that you'll be able to remain in the room. They'd have to check you back in before check-out time, which means the connecting one-bedroom would have to be empty and clean.

I have not read any reports ever that people could stay. Since it’s a 2 bedroom you are going through, it’s possible they have to ensure that both sides of the room are cleared to meet standards vs. only cleaning the 1 bedroom part and leaving your side alone.

So, I’d plan on having to pack up and be homeless, even if you end up back in the same room.

At AKV a couple of years ago I tried, unsuccessfully. So we dutifully packed up, schlepped the suitcases down to bell services, checked out, etc., I’d even consoled myself w/ the thought that it might be nice to get a different view. When we checked back in that afternoon we retrieved our suitcases from bell services and schlepped them back up to our original 1 br. w/ the addition of the next door studio.

We were able to drop the studio side and keep the one bedroom of the lockoff. I called ms so they could note it on the reservation and we talked to the front desk when we checked in. It was a long time ago, so maybe things have changed, but give it a try and good luck.

One issue at BWV is all 2 bedrooms are lockoffs but about half of the studios and 1 bedrooms are dedicated. So they may need to move you to a dedicated studio if they need your original room as a 2 bedroom.

I don't believe there are any dedicated studios/1 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms at BWV

There are quite a few dedicated studios and one-bedrooms at BWV; roughly 40% of inventory. There are no dedicated two-bedrooms.

At SSR a few years ago I had a studio booked for my husband who was checking in one day before the rest of us - then switching to two bedroom when the rest of us arrived. My husband got some disney magic and was upgraded to a two-bedroom on his check in so he did not have to change rooms the next day. That is the only time that ever happened to us, as I do that often since he usually goes down a day or two before us. Good luck trying to keep your studio room for the two-bed lockoff at BWV but I agree with Sandi up above

I am at the BCV right now in a one bedroom. My daughter is checking into the studio right next door for a few days- so we will technically have a two bedroom.

I made a request with MS- but it wasn't accommodated. We were assigned to be close by-but not connecting. When I arrived a CM manager was able to make the adjustment for us. The front desk CM's were not- but asked for help in the backroom and it all worked out. It is pretty empty here though......

I had tried to get the 2 bedroom - but it was completely booked for our dates.

Good Luck!!!!
