I'm going to have to 100% agree with you, BayKid. The change in a lot of people is evident, and I've especially noticed it in myself. I feel like people are more willing to just spend time with each other lately. We aren't as motivated by getting credits or getting the high score in Jungle Cruise (or whatever it may be). I've noticed people are just hanging out in each other's guest rooms, reminiscing and socializing.
People have also come to be much more generous as they realize that there isn't much time left, and I think that's healthy. True there's sort of a sad undertone to all of this, but idea remains the same. "You don't know what you'e got till it's gone." We're not taking advantage of the time we have in the game, but coming to value it more. I think everybody is especially taking the extra time to spend time with their friends and not take them for granted either. In some ways the closing of VMK is showing the best sides of people
But for me- this is nothing new... I've always seen generous caring people who like to spend time with each other and aren't hung up on having it all. Sure some have gone and received "the best" awards- but most that I know would have gone on without them just fine. They still built beautiful rooms, hosted fun games, and held exciting quests- not for the prize but the pixie dust...
So for me this is the aspect that I have always played VMK= now that all the players have caught the "bug" well that is great- but around my friends- it is business as usual- just a little more down about the ax falling so soon.
