Well, DH started WW on Monday the 7th and has lost 5 pounds so far. He had a small fender bender this morning (he's fine, thank goodness!!!) and I'm so proud of him because he didn't do any stress eating as a result! His office had a special breakfast today (the bosses and some VPs cook breakfast for the employees) and although he attended the breakfast, he didn't eat anything (I fed him his WW breakfast at home this morning).
And a big miracle! My Mom did yoga today!!!!! I set the timer for 10 minutes, and when it went off, she agreed to go for another five minutes (had only worked the left side of her body so we needed to do the right side to make it even). WOW!!!!!!!! I am so proud of her! She's 60 and a smoker and addicted to candy and cakes! Next week we will do two more 15 minute sessions and the week after we will up it to 20 or 25 minutes, depending on how she feels. I told her that her goal is to complete the entire yoga tape before I go on vacation at the end of May!
Yesterday we went to the grocery store and instead of buying a half chocolate chip cake that she LOVES, she bought glazed donuts (which she thinks was a better choice.)
Anyway, she is talking about cooking broccoli with dinner now and adding more fruits and veggies to her diet. I am so proud!!!! My parents are moving to a house with a pool soon and she wants to be able to put on a bathing suit and feel good about herself. She also wants to quit smoking. I am really happy that she wants to make these changes for herself!
Just wanted to share. I hope I am not posting too much! I know I can ramble!
Have a great day, everyone!!!
