We are tossing around going the week between Christmas and New Year's. I know it is the busiest time of the year. Who has been and has positive things to say about it? We love Disney like crazy and crowds don't bother me, although I know I have never experienced crowds like Christmas.

I've never been during Christmas week, but I was always a bit jealous of the extended park hours. Must be wonderful to have the parks open till midnight or 1am all the time. I visit in early Dec and there are only a few nights that MK is even open....the rest are all booked for the separate hard tic party.

When I was growing up, we went to Disney every other year for Christmas. I have family in Florida, and my mom is a teacher so Christmas break was the best time for us to travel to Florida. I LOVE Christmas at Disney! Now as an adult, my husband is a teacher and my mom is still a teacher, so we still go either at Christmas break or spring break! I prefer Christmas to spring break because it's so much hotter during spring break. It is busy, but if you do your research and plan well you can still easily get to everything you want. It's a really magical time to be there too. The only day I've ever been to Disney that it was totally unmanageable was New Years Eve. It was actually totally dead in the morning and we got on every single ride with no wait. Then we went back to the hotel for a nap and when we returned to MK in the afternoon, it was more packed than I have ever, ever seen it. They had to open up the back alleys and areas for cast members so there was room for guests to walk. It was just a solid wall of people everywhere! The fireworks were awesome though at midnight. I'm glad I've done it once but I never want to do it again, lol.

We plan to go in 2016 from December 26-30th. :D

The extended hours are amazing!! Last trip I went to the hotel and put my kids to bed at 9 pm and my husband stayed with them, and I headed back to the parks with my mom and sister until past midnight! I was exhausted the next day but it was totally worth it, lol.

I second the transportation - it was great! We were back to our resort in a half hour from DHS on New Year's Eve they had so many buses after the fireworks.

Everything is open and open extended hours. Want a Dole Whip for breakfast at 9:30 am? No problem.

I thought the crowds were friendlier than they have been at other times of the year.

TONS of international families, but I didn't see a single tour group.

Extra entertainment - 3 Fantasmics a night, 2 afternoon parades, 2 Light Parades etc.. made the scheduling much easier.

If you can handle burning the candle at both ends, you can do it all. It was a little tough getting up in the dark. But being in MK as the sun rose was a wonderful experience.
