It's not a ride its a show.
Escape from the Lost City: This special effects show is a walk-through attraction, along the lines of Universal Studios Alfred Hitchcock stage show. With an old sage named The Keeper as their tour guide, guests are transported to the lost city of Atlantis to witness the final battle between Poseidon and his archenemy, Zeus, the king of the gods. The battle features a mixture of computer-generated animation, live-action, fire-and-water effects, and film projected onto huge water screens. And for those of you who were wondering just exactly how one gets to Atlantis, you get there by walking through a 42-foot vortex containing more than 17,000 gallons of water.
****SOME SPOILERS*****
Technically, that is not the "story" of the show now. An archeology student named "Taylor' is looking for his mentor Professor Baxter. The prof was working on this excavation site of Atlantis, and had uncovered something.
The first room is the intro room, you hear how Taylor is calling the Prof, and is looking might scared. He then does a neat light effect (my son thought it was cool anyway), which then awakens Posiedons evil enemy, Darkenon.
Then you are ushered into the second room. You see an "eye type" thing, and some other cool things.. one being a skeleton. Taylor stumbles onto Posiedon trident, which gives him powers, and which he eventually has to give back to Posiedon.
The the water vortex, then the third and final room. It is a battle between Posiedon, and Darkenon, complete with fire/water effects, water screen, and some other cool stuff.
