can anyone tell me if posidon's fury is still at the park. i am really looking forward to seeing it and i will be gutted if the harry potter ride is in it's place.

if it is still there, then what did forbidden journey replace?

Poseidon's Fury is still there. Forbidden Journey is a brand new ride and didn't replace anything, as far as I'm aware.

You are correct...FJ was built from scratch...nothing was replaced.

I've been going to Universal for as long as my feeble mind can remember and I've been to Poseidon's Fury twice. That entire area is nothing more than a place to pass through on the way to something else.

Yes, that stinks.

We did Posidon's Fury on Sunday. Instead of the water vortex, now you just walk through some mist with blue lights.

When I was there last November the construction walls for the WWOHP started just past sinbad's Voyage. The bypass bridge was just before it. I can't say for certain it's still there, but I can say it wasn't removed for the construction.



I also noticed the Water Vortex on Poseidon's Fury wasn't there last year. When did it break? and are there plans to fix it or did they just decide to let it die all together? It definately did seem to impact the overall "awe" of the show with it missing.

Sinbad was open when I was there earlier this month.

The mist/lights at Poseidon appeared to be a permanent fix to me.

It works, they just don't use it, either due to budget cuts or water shortages maybe?

I didn't think much of it in November since the show had just been "closed due to technical issues" and they weren't sure when or if they'd get another show in that day, only to suddenly reopen. The Previous year they also seemed to be having techinical difficulties when I was down there. Maybe the Water Vortex was what caused most of the problems?

Ugh...no vortex? That was such an impactful effect. Poor Dh won't get to see it this visit...it's his first.

Part of the script of the show has the power going out, so it might not have been a black out.

Word on the Orlando United forum is that the water vortex is now back ON!!

If true, I am really pleased! I just hope that it is a full ,and not seasonal return

We did Poseidon's Fury yesterday and the vortex was on. They said that we were the first group to see it on again! Very cool but extremely loud. Was not impressed with the way they place you in the rooms. We were in the back the entire time and could not see a thing. Best if you are in the back of the first room because then you are first for the rest of the rooms. Poorly designed IMO.
